New to the BNSC Youth Academy for 2010-2011 is the Youth Academy Select Teams program.
The Youth Academy Select teams offer dedicated and talented players ages 8-9 years old with the option of experiencing competitive soccer in an age appropriate fashion.
Youth Academy Select Teams feature:
- BNSC Professional Staff Team Coaches
- Two weekly select team pool practices with their staff coaches
- Gender specific teams
- Games against teams from other local clubs
- Participation in local U10 competitive tournaments
- Winter Indoor soccer with their staff coach
- Weekly training from the BNSC Youth Director
The Youth Academy Select program bridges the gap between recreational soccer and competitive/travel soccer. With team and pool training and competition against local select and competitive teams, competition in local tournaments, along with professional staff coaches and directors at every training session, the Youth Academy Select Teams are the best option for players ages 8-9 looking to compete at the next level.
Registration Opens Monday April 26th and ends June 30th. Late Registration begins July 1st and ends July 31st with a $20 administration fee.
Youth Academy Select Evaluations will take place August 9th and 10th. Evaluations are for the sole purpose of ensuring that team assignments for all games and tournaments are meeting the optimum standard for competition meaning that our team is fairly evenly matched with our competition. All players interested and registered will be accepted, there are no cuts. Players are assigned to teams within a player pool system. The player pool system means that players are assigned to teams of 8-10 players and then field a team of 12-14 players for games and tournaments by having players from other teams within the player pool play for the core team as substitutes.
Youth Academy Select dues are $295 per player for the 2010-2011 seasonal year.
(Tournament registration fees, travel, and winter indoor fees are not included.)
