BNSC Families,
I want to update you on positive happenings within our club because every day we see improvement in our operations, coaches and teams and as a result new opportunities present themselves to us. Our youth program is growing and is doing a terrific job at developing a skilled group of younger players due primarily to our unique model of professional coaching for all age groups. Our competitive program is amongst the most competitive in the state and is recognized regionally for developing exceptional players. In fact, we have most recently been invited and have preliminarily accepted an offer to participate in the Western College Development Academy for our U15-U18 boys’ teams. More details will be forthcoming after some additional information gathering by our coaches at an organizational meeting that is scheduled toward the end of May. Some of the other clubs that have been invited and that we are expecting to be competing against include Crossfire, Washington Premier, FC Portland, La Roca, Sparta, Las Vegas Premier, Neusport, SC del Sol, Sereno, Albion SC and West Coast FC. In total, there were 24 clubs in region IV that were invited to participate. It is quite an honor to have been invited and is a testament to the quality of our players and coaches in these age groups. We will offer this opportunity to the girls’ teams as soon as it is available.
Our office staff continues to be an indispensible resource for our families and coaches as they provide customer care and service to both groups day-to-day. Our most recent dinner auction was the most successful one that we have ever had due to club wide support and impeccable organization by our newly appointed Director of Fundraising and her volunteer staff. We have a Board of Directors that consistently thinks through club level decisions with our kids and families always at the center of any discussion. Financially we are strong and sound despite the economic downturn and we have achieved this without raising our families’ dues for the past 4 years. Finally, we have a group of coaches that are not only distinguished by their knowledge and experience but by their love of coaching kids. You can ask any of them..it is not for the pay!
I could not be more proud as President of BNSC to see where we have come from as a club and I am excited to see all of the programs and people we now have in place continue to grow and improve in the future. We continue to be and plan to remain Idaho’s oldest and most successful soccer club.
