BNSC Teams Excel at Las Vegas Premier Invitational
U15 Girls Win Title

Over the weekend, BNSC had 9 teams participate in the Las Vegas Premier Invitational, the largest club soccer tournament in Nevada and one of the biggest in the nation.  Leading the way was the U15 Premier Girls who beat the Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club in a shootout to claim the Championship.  Congratulations on this great accomplishment to the girls and coach Ryan Scott!  The following is a breakdown of our teams' performances:

  • U14G Premier - Finished 2nd in their group, gave up only 1 goal and lost only once in 3 games against nationally ranked opposition, including FC Barcelona and the Irvine Strikers.  Keeping the girls from the semis was their lone loss, against 32nd Nationally ranked, La Roca, a narrow 1-0 affair, with the goal coming in the final minutes before our girls hit the cross bar and the GK made a great reflex save to preserve the win for La Roca.
  • U13G Athletica - Won their group, before losing 1-0 in the semifinals against FC Las Vegas.  In their two group games, Athletica defeated Heat FC GR out of Nevada and the La Verne Lazers out of Southern California.  Congratulations on advancing to the semifinals!
  • U13G Norway - Finished 2nd in their group and went 1-2, including a 2-0 win against Freedom Futbol from Cal South and a narrow 1-0 loss against Sereno out of Phoenix, AZ.  Keeping the team out of the semifinals was their lone group game loss against Heat FC out of Nevada, currently ranked 18th nationally.
  • U15B Barcelona - Went 2-0-1 and did not lose a match, but lost out to Neusport FC (ranked 28th Nationally) on a tie breaker.  Neusport advanced to the final based upon goals against to win the tournament after escaping the BNSC boys in the morning, narrowly salvaging a 1-1 draw to advance to the final in one of the tournament's more thrilling contests.  In spite of a late goal by BNSC, the referees ruled the goal out only to cut the game short 3 minutes from time in what was a tense and heated affair.  Barcelona also defeated Banat out of Arizona and Vegas United.
  • U14B Celtic - Went 2-1 and finished 2nd in their group.  A group game loss, 4-2, against #5 Nationally ranked Neusport kept Celtic from advancing to the tournament semifinals.  Celtic also defeated Joga out of Utah, 4-0, as well as Warriors Elite out of Nevada, 1-0.  The Warriors are currntly ranked 47th Nationally.
  • U13B Milan - Finished third in group play after losses to Pumas out of Cal South and Las Vegas Premier.  After a shaky start at their first major tournament, the Milan boys asserted themselves in a thrilling encounter with Las Vegas Premier, ranked 6th Nationally.  Giving up a goal in the first 30 seconds, Milan rallied, having a goal disallowed and a clear penalty claim waived away before Las Vegas Premier finally made it 2-0, only to obtain a flattering scoreline with a goal in the final minute as Milan pushed forward.  Milan also tied Neusport 1-1.
  • U12B Liverpool - In spite of playing 11v11 in place of their usual 8v8, finished 2nd in a four team group, losing out on a place in the final in a 2-1 loss to Heat FC out of Nevada, after holding a 1-0 lead in the 2nd half.  Liverpool also tied Real FC out of Nevada 4-4 before crushing the New Mexico Rush 5-2 in a fine display of attacking soccer.
  • U12B Arsenal - Finished 2nd in a four team group, losing out on a place in the final to the Central California Blues.  Arsenal also defeated Impact United out of Utah in a 4-3 thriller before repeating the scoreline in a 2nd 4-3 victory over FC Las Vegas, showing that BNSC is not short of fire power in the U12 age group, with the two squads scoring 18 goals in 6 matches.
