At the recent State Cup Dinner Banquet, BNSC announced the winners of the first annual McCandlish Senior President's Scholarship.  The scholarship was awarded to one boy and one girl graduating from BNSC in 2008.  The criteria for the award is as follows:

• Planning to attend a 2 or 4 year university in the fall of 2008
• Demonstrated character on and off the field
• Excellence in the classroom
• Excellence on the soccer field
• Past and future planned community involvement

Both of these individuals exemplify the values of excellence and community service that epitomize BNSC.  The senior girl winner was Chelsea Heffner, while the boys winner was Aaron Reynolds.  Chelsea will graduate from Mountain View HS where she was the girl athlete of the year and had a 4.1 GPA.  Chelsea has been involved in numerous community volunteer projects and will attend the College of Idaho this coming fall.  Aaron has played for BNSC since U11 as a goalkeeper.  Aaron attended Capital HS, has a 3.8 GPA and is a National Merit Scholar Finalist.  Aaron has been involved in Rake Up Boise and TOP Soccer among other volunteer projects and plans to attend the College of Idaho this coming fall.  Congratulations to our senior scholarship winners and good luck this Fall!
